No confidence motion Day 2: Rahul Gandhi opens debate in Parliament, says ‘For PM Modi, Manipur is not part of India'

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday opened the no confidence motion debate during the Parliament session. Attacking PM Narendra Modi on the Manipur issue, he said, ‘For PM Modi, Manipur is not part of India'
Earlier in the day, senior party leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhury confirmed that Rahul would be speaking during the Parliament session today.
While, opening his speech, the Congress leader first thanked the speaker for letting him join the Parliament. Then in a veiled attack towards the government, he said, said, ‘don’t worry, wont speak on Adani today'
He added, “I will definitely throw some bombs, but they won't be as deadly as the last time"
Bharat Jodo Yatra
Speaking about Bharat Jodo Yatra, he added, ‘Initially, I had no agenda. All I wanted to do is experience my India, my country.’
“...When I started (the Yatra), I had in my mind that walking 25 km is no big deal if I can run 10 km every day. Today, when I look at that - it was arrogance. I had arrogance in my heart at that time. But India erases arrogance, erases it in a second. So, within 2-3 days, my knees started hurting, it was an old injury. In the first few days, the wolf became an ant. Jo Hindustan ko ahankar se dekhne nikla nikla that wo poora ka poora ahankar gayab ho gaya..."
He further added, ‘What I understood during the Yatra is fact that is Bharat ek Awaz hein. And unless you can ignore your ego and ambition, you cannnot listen to that Awaz’
Manipur
Attacking PM Modi on the Manipur issue, he said, “PM Modi did not visit Manipur as he does not consider the state to be part of India"
“They (BJP) have not only killed the Awaz in Manipur, they have murdered the Awaz of India."
He further accuses, ‘They are not Deshipremi but Deshdrohi’
The Supreme Court last week stayed Rahul Gandhi's conviction in the criminal defamation case over Modi surname remark. He was on Monday reinstated as member of Lok Sabha.
The Lok Sabha took up debate on no-confidence motion on Tuesday.
