EBITDA margin during the quarter may decline by 150 basis points (bps) to 36.1% from 37.6% in the year-ago quarter.

IRCTC earned a net profit of ₹278.8 crore in the fourth quarter of FY23, rising by 30.4% from a profit of ₹214 crore in the same quarter a year ago. IRCTC posted double-digit growth across key parameters on a year-on-year basis and also recommended a dividend of 100% for its shareholders.
Revenue from operations jumped by 39.7% to ₹965 crore in Q4FY23, as against ₹691 crore in Q4 of the previous fiscal.

Excluding the last 11-days of June, the cumulative non-suburban PRS traffic stood at 162 million. Assuming in the 3rd bucket period of June, passenger traffic settles down at 20 million, collective passenger traffic for the quarter would stand at around 182 million. Given 1.7-1.8x passengers travel per e-ticket, we expect online bookings of 100 million in Q1FY24 resulting in convenience revenue of ₹1.9 billion, brokerage firm Prabhudas Lilladher said.
It retained a ‘Hold’ rating on IRCTC with a target price of ₹679 per share.

However, on a sequential basis, IRCTC’s Q1 revenue is expected to fall by 3.4% from ₹965 crore in the March quarter.
